The Department of Mathematics is sound in research with seven Ph.D faculty members and three among them are research supervisors recognized by Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and currently guiding research scholars in the fields of Topology, Inventory Modelling, Plithogenic Decision-Making, Fuzzy Cognitive Theory and many other. It focuses on promoting and developing research through many ways such as holding annual conference at national level on the recent trends in pure and applied Mathematics. The organizers take efforts in inviting renowned experts as resource persons to share their expertise and encourage the researchers to publish their research work at global level. The faculty members associate with other institutions and offer their expertise to make collaborative research endeavours. The department has applied for the status of research centre under Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai.
